The Art & Craft of Dining© Experience
October 25, 2008 7pm
Chef Andrew Nuernberg and Dan Garvey from the historic Roycroft Inn is working with Slow Food Buffalo member Sandy Starks to create yet another spectacular Art & Craft of Dining© experience
This years theme will be Roycroft Arden Farms Reconnected. Dan Roelofs, great-grandson of Roycroft founder Elbert Hubbard, has recently returned to East Aurora to help his family and the farm. Arden Farms, located on Bilington Road, is the oldest certified organic farm in Erie County and Dan is working hard to plant a variety of organic and heritage vegetables and herbs that will be used this summer at area restaurants.
We have selected a variety of heritage organic seeds that will be planted in April - ready for for the Art & Craft of Dining© at the peak of freshness at the harvest time this fall. Once we see what mother nature decides to do with this planting we will announce the menu for this popular event. We are also looking at the various new sources out in our community to round out the menu. Of course, wines will be from New York State and Southern Ontario.
This year's Art & Craft of Dining will truly be unique as we will connect our dining experience to the farm that once provided quality nourishment to the original Roycorfters and to the other local, sustainable food providers in Western New York.
Call today to make your reservation as we expect this event to sell out!
